Anastasia Hess has been a member of Langhenry, Gillen, Lundquist and Johnson since the inception of her law career in 1999. She concentrates her practice in the area of defense litigation with an emphasis in medical malpractice litigation as well as defending townships in tort matters. In her representation of townships, Ms. Hess has drafted many dispositive motions wherein her clients have been successfully dismissed at the early stages of litigation. She has second chaired several jury trials, including successfully defending a township in a lawsuit with an exposure in excess of $25 million dollars as well as numerous medical malpractice trials with $1 million plus exposure. Ms. Hess also has authored numerous winning appellate briefs on behalf of the firm’s clients.
Ms. Hess received her undergraduate degree in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. She received her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1999, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and received various course honors. Ms. Hess is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and Will County Bar Association.
