Mauri Thomas has extensive litigation experience with an emphasis on defending professional negligence claims against long term care facilities, physicians, mental health professionals, physical therapists, nurses, dentists, and hospitals.  She also represents professionals defending licensing matters before the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

Mauri has successfully tried to jury verdict many high exposure claims.  She has also successfully settled hundreds of claims using many different forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Mauri received her undergraduate degree in Government and History from West Virginia Wesleyan College.  She received her J.D. degree from Duquesne University School of Law.  While attending law school at night, Mauri clerked for a prominent plaintiff’s personal injury firm.  After achieving her degree and licensure, she represented Plaintiff’s in various healthcare claims affording her a unique insight into defending those very claims.
