Theresa Bresnahan-Coleman concentrates her practice in civil litigation. She practices primarily in the areas of municipal civil rights defense, personal injury defense, premises liability, and general liability litigation. She also has experience in employment law, land use law, and consumer protection. Ms. Bresnahan-Coleman received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Computer Applications in 2001 from the University of Notre Dame. Before enrolling in law school, she worked as an investigator for the Federal Trade Commission. She also earned a Master of Arts degree in English from Loyola University Chicago in 2006. Ms. Bresnahan-Coleman earned her Juris Doctor degree from New England School of Law in 2009. While in law school, she served as Managing Editor of the New England Journal of International and Comparative Law, and interned for Chief Justice Karyn F. Scheier of the Massachusetts Land Court. Ms. Bresnahan-Coleman is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
