Melissa J. Gordon was born in 1969. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas, Austin, Texas, in 1991, and her Juris Doctor degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent College of Law, Chicago, Illinois, in 1994, graduating with honors.
