John Langhenry is one of the founding partners of Langhenry, Gillen, Lundquist & Johnson, LLC and an active trial lawyer. He concentrates his practice in the area of defense litigation with an emphasis on the defense of health care professionals and institutions in medical malpractice litigation. His practice also includes nursing home negligence and psychiatric malpractice. In over twenty years of practice Mr. Langhenry has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict where there has been exposure in the millions of dollars.

Mr. Langhenry received his undergraduate degree in Government from the University of Notre Dame in 1980. He received his J.D. degree from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law in 1984. While at Loyola, Mr. Langhenry was the recipient of the Loyola University Leadership and Service Award. He is a member of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel, the Illinois State Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Langhenry frequently speaks to various groups of health professionals and attorneys on subjects involving medical malpractice including medical records confidentiality, nursing home litigation, mental health law and litigation techniques.
